Making Fresh Coconut Juice

 for Making Fresh Coconut Juice:

 One young, fresh green coconut, also known as a tender coconut Cubes of ice (optional) A pinch of sugar or salt, if desired Garnish with a slice of lemon or mint leaves (optional). 

Directions: Crack open the coconut: Using a knife or cleaver, carefully crack the top of the young green coconut. 

Fill a sanitized glass or jug with clear coconut water.

 Extras that are optional: If you like a little savory or sweet flavor, add a pinch of salt or sugar to taste. To cool the beverage, add ice 

cubes. Serve: If desired, garnish with mint leaves or a lemon wedge. For the best flavor and nutrition, serve fresh and eat right away.
